ARC Course Record Entry (Direct Connection)

Connect Red Cross issuing to Hovn, assign issuers, and support multiple alignments.

Use this when: you want Hovn to create ARC course records and issue certificates using your existing Red Cross account.

Who this is for: Service Provider Admins/Owners.

Outcome: An ARC Card Bank is connected, the right Issuers are assigned, instructors’ Agency IDs are set, and you can issue from one or many ARC banks.

Why Connect For Course Record Entry

This integration links Hovn to your American Red Cross Course Record Entry process. Once connected, Hovn can submit course records and obtain ARC certifications using your existing ARC account.

Multiple connections are supported. You can connect multiple to one Hovn account for different invoicing purposes and choose the correct invoicing process when submitting.

Before you begin (prereqs)

You’re an Admin on your Hovn Service Provider account.
You have your 18-digit ARC Organization ID (from your ARC sales rep or Primary Licensed Training Provider).
Anyone who will issue has their ARC Agency ID on their Hovn profile (typically the email they use to log in to Red Cross).

Step 1 — Create an ARC Card Bank

Go to Settings → Card Banks → Create
Choose American Red Cross
Name the bank clearly, for example:
- ARC — Invoicing Org Name
Enter your 18-digit Organization ID
Click Save

Use descriptive names so your team knows which bank to use at issuance time.
